I have to admit it: this class has pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. As far as my technology skills? Let me just say that last semester, I learned to try even if I did not believe that I could accomplish the task. And I am so grateful for the opportunity to take the EME classes and keep learning.
For our newest task, I decided to create a curated collection of resources that deal with all those topics that are at the core of introductory healthcare classes. Perhaps you are thinking, "Why would I be interested?" If for no other reason, than out of curiosity, I would suggest that you take a moment, scroll through, and pick one that SOUNDS intriguing. I promise, they are all under five minutes, unless you choose to go down the rabbit hole!

Among the resources, you will find a job aid that I created for my students to help them remember the basics. See, if you can wash your hands like a nurse. Naturally, I own the rights to this resource.
Then, there is a set of four YouTube videos. Since they are linked to YouTube, they are published under the standard YouTube license.
The last of my resources is the link to the Florida Department of Health. Let me just say: There is more than meets the eye. You can find plentiful information about diseases and conditions, immunizations, and emergency preparedness. No formal copyright license is required to link to a state agency website.
I watched " The Chain of Infection" video. I am pretty good at washing my hands; however, I have upped my game since COVID. I keep hand sanitizer with me, and I'm more careful around the elderly and others who are more susceptible or at risk of germ transmission.
ReplyDeleteYou created the job aids for your students? That sounds awesome! :) I share my IG account for the assignment too. It might be fun! https://www.instagram.com/jueun.shin/
